A trademark application in Philippines will be consider through five stage: Stage 1: Filing; Stage 2: Examination; Stage 3: Publication in eGazette; Stage 4: Opposition (if any); Stage 5: Registration
Step 1: Look up the trademark
The result of this step is to check the possibility of trademark registration in the Philippines.
Currently this step is not required, in order to save time and cost, it is recommended to conduct and search pre-evaluate the possibility of a trademark to be registered.
Step 2: Request a trademark registration
The applicant proceeds to submit and carry out the necessary procedures for the trademark registration application
at the Trademark Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL)
Step 3: granting trademark protection
Notice of grant of trademark registration certificate and then the original of trademark registration certificate.
